Double the Glamour: Lexie’s Cabo Celebration in Two Allure Dresses

How did your husband propose? Share the story with us.

Luke proposed in March 2023. He surprised me with a private, candle-lit dinner in the garden of one of our favorite restaurants—Tiny Boxwoods in Houston, TX.

Can you share the story of your wedding day?

My family has vacationed in Cabo San Lucas since I was a little girl. For years, every vacation was spent in Cabo. Eventually, my family bought a second home in Villas del Mar in San Jose del Cabo. As soon as Luke and I started dating, Luke joined our family on all the trips to Cabo. Luke and I’s favorite spot has always been Querencia, so when it came time to choose a wedding venue, it only made sense to do it there! We got married less than a year after Luke proposed– on February 24, 2024. For design, we wanted something timeless, elegant, and romantic. The venue is beautiful with many colorful plants and trees, so we went with a white and green color scheme to compliment the beauty of the venue and not compete with it. It was the perfect day.

Can you describe the moment you knew you had found ‘the one’ gown? How did you feel when you first tried it on?

I purchased two short Allure dresses. I always knew I wanted to do an outfit change for my reception. I had a short, sparkly Lee Petra Grebenau Allure dress saved on my phone for years, and I decided I had to fly out to New York to see it. I tried it on and instantly knew I had to have it. It instantly felt like “me.” It made me feel confident and beautiful. And not only did I fall in love with the first Allure dress, but I ended up loving a second one just as much. I wore one to our reception and one to our welcome party.

How did you first hear about Lee Petra Grebenau?

I first saw a Lee Petra Grebenau Allure dress on Pinterest. I saved the photo to my “wedding” album on my phone for years! When it came time for me to get married, I made the trip out to New York to try on the Allure collection dresses that I had loved for years.

What was the most important factor for you when choosing your wedding gown? What made you choose this particular gown from Lee Petra Grebenau?

It sounds so cliché, but I wanted a dress that felt like “me”. Short and sparkly is me in a dress.

Can you share a memorable moment from your wedding day?

While we enjoyed every second of our wedding, one moment stands out. A memorable moment for us was right after we cut the cake and the fireworks erupted. In the midst of 140 of our closest family and friends behind us, for those few minutes as Luke and I hugged and danced, it felt like all the outside noise stopped and it was just the two of us.
