A Journey Through Time: The Inspiration Behind the FW26 Collection ‘The Muse Within’

By Lee Petra Grebenau

There are moments when time seems to stand still. When a whisper, a glance, or a single detail can tell a story. For me, that’s the magic of a wedding. It’s where emotion, memory, and legacy intertwine.

Ever since I was a child, I’ve been drawn to the Victorian era, its art, its romance, and its quiet strength. I still remember walking through the halls of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, mesmerized by the craftsmanship, the silhouettes, and the timeless beauty of that age. There was something in Queen Victoria’s story that always captivated me: her courage to choose love over tradition, and her quiet yet powerful way of reshaping what the world saw as beautiful.

In 1840, she made one simple yet revolutionary choice: she chose to wear a white gown for her wedding to Albert.

What was once unconventional became eternal, transforming white into the color of purity, romance, and grace. That moment changed bridal fashion forever and continues to inspire me to this day.

My Fall/Winter 2026 collection, The Muse Within, was born from that dialogue between past and present, between legacy and individuality. It’s a collection that celebrates the power of femininity in all its forms: delicate yet bold, ethereal yet strong.

Each gown in the collection tells its own story. Crafted with intricate lacework, detailed embroidery, and hand-finished couture elements, every design mirrors the duality within every woman, soft and fierce, tender and unshakable.

I wanted each bride to feel like her gown is more than something she wears; it’s a reflection of her inner world. Every layer, every stitch, every shimmer of light across the fabric carries emotion. The gowns move like a breath. They touch, they linger, they stay.

Twelve couture creations form this collection, each embodying its own muse. From regal, sculptural silhouettes to flowing, dreamlike pieces, The Muse Within invites brides to discover their own rhythm and their own story. Many gowns are designed to evolve, with detachable elements that allow each bride to express herself in her own way.

With love,
