An intimate look at the moments and details that made her day unforgettable.
How did your husband propose? Share the story with us.
He surprised me with a trip to Sugar Beach in St. Lucia! I thought we were celebrating his recent promotion on the trip, but as we were headed to a sunset dinner, he walked me over to a beautiful lookout spot. He proposed overlooking the ocean during sunset, and we both immediately started crying with happiness. We were then surprised with a “green flash” sunset, something very special to us. (We’ve only seen one other green flash.) It completely reinforced that we were meant to be together. The perfect proposal for us.
Can you share the story of your wedding day?
Terranea on September 27th, 2025 in Rancho Palos Verdes. The theme was an elegant cliffside celebration with tones of whites and greens. Jason’s family is Dutch and tulips are my favorite flower, so we incorporated Dutch tiles and tulips throughout the wedding in many elements.
The day was perfect. We took a morning walk together privately to share our vows, which set the tone so beautifully. The rest of the day unfolded in the best way; we were blown away by the love our family and friends gave us.
The ceremony was incredibly special, and hearing our family members’ speeches brought tears to our eyes throughout the night. And then we danced the night away to our favorite songs. My favorite part of the day, besides marrying my best friend, was our first dance and Jason’s speech to me and to his friends and family.
Can you describe the moment you knew you had found ‘the one’? How did you feel when you first tried it on?
I’d love to, because I am still so obsessed with my dress! I had tried on a couple of gowns at LPG with my co–maids of honor, and I knew I wanted to take my parents back with me because I had a strong feeling that I would find my dress during the next appointment.
Nancy brought out the Harmony gown (I hadn’t tried this one yet), and immediately I started crying with happiness. I turned around and both my parents and my mother-in-law were already crying.
It’s hard to describe the feeling of finding “the one.” It was a calm and confidence I felt in my heart. I knew immediately this was my dress and couldn’t wait to wear it on the big day. I wish I could wear it every day, and I cherish my experience at LPG. Truly a work of art, and I’m so thankful for the beauty of the gown. It will be timeless forever.
What was the most important factor for you when choosing your wedding gown? What made you choose this particular gown from Lee Petra Grebenau?
Feeling confident, timeless, and beautiful. My entire experience with Nancy was lovely, and she took such care to make sure I had the perfect experience, even working with Blanca in alterations. I immediately felt beautiful in the Harmony. It felt like my personality in a gown, which I had never felt before. It was fitted exactly to my body, and that was so special to me.
Can you share a memorable moment from your wedding day?
I went up to my parents’ suite overlooking the Pacific Ocean to get dressed in my gown the morning of the wedding. My mother is losing her sight from an inherited retinal disease, and it was incredibly special to have her help me hook up my dress. She was able to see and feel the hooks and got me into my dress, and that was a very memorable moment for both of us.
It was captured in photos and video, and I cherish that moment so much. I cherish that she was still able to see me get married and walk me down the aisle with my dad, a very important shared memory before her sight is gone.
