A Night to Remember: Alisiyah and Daniel’s Elegant Wedding at the Burj Khalifa.

How did your husband propose? Share the story with us.

I absolutely love sunsets and while traveling to Dubai for the first time in 2017 I took a photo of the most beautiful beach sunset. That photo remained my phone background for over 2 years. Because my husband owns an experiential marketing company, we are always attending events around the world. He convinced me that we were traveling to Dubai in 2020 for a big event. When we arrived at the exact spot on the beach where I took that sunset photo, I was surprised to see petals and candles leading to a table with chairs, a bouquet of flowers, champagne, and a violinist. My now husband got on one knee and proposed to me. He then surprised me by flying my 2 best friends from Canada and the USA to Dubai to celebrate with us, along with some of our other close friends. We enjoyed a private dinner and a show. He created a dinner menu in which every dish was named after a significant memory in our relationship.

Can you share the story of your wedding day?

We were married on Nov 18, 2023, at the base of the Burj Khalifa. The theme was elegant, timeless, and romantic. Our ceremony was held at sunset. We had over 200 guests who flew in from all over the world. My bridesmaids wore champagne dresses with different styles and textures. My husband wore a Thom Browne suit. We held the ceremony and reception outdoors. Our after party was held inside a club we bought out inside the Burj Khalifa. We partied all night!

Can you describe the moment you knew you had found ‘the one’ gown? How did you feel when you first tried it on?

I traveled to NYC from Chicago to find a gown. Over three days I had visited 7 or 8 top bridal boutiques. I tried dress after dress, but didn’t feel like a bride in any of them. I knew what I was looking for, something that felt timeless yet powerful and delicate. When I tried my gown on at LPG, I immediately became emotional, my friends also teared up, and we knew at that moment I had found my dress.

How did you first hear about Lee Petra Grebenau?

Through the bridal shopping journey, I was always drawn to the beautiful lace detailing and just the seamless fit of the LPG gowns.

What was the most important factor for you when choosing your wedding gown? What made you choose this particular gown from Lee Petra Grebenau?

The most important thing for me was feeling like a bride, feeling confident, and having a gown that felt true to my style. I also wanted a gown that reflected the grandeur of the Burj Khalifa, but that also felt romantic and feminine. I know I made the best choice picking my gown. My only wish is that I could wear it again and for longer!

Can you share a memorable moment from your wedding day?

Walking down the aisle toward my husband is a feeling and memory I will always cherish. The excitement, the nerves, and the love I felt all at once is hard to describe.
