Invisible Signatures: An Inspired Collaboration with Haute Parfumerie Ex Nihilo

When something feels right, we go with it — and that is exactly how our collaboration with Ex Nihilo for New York Bridal Fashion Week began.
At the heart of it was something personal: our CEO’s longstanding admiration for their Haute Parfumerie. A genuine love for what Ex Nihilo creates sparked the idea to reach out, and the rest followed naturally. Collaborating with Ex Nihilo for our New York Bridal Fashion Week runway show was an almost-too-fitting connection with our couture bridal dresses and their layer of Blue Talisman Extrait.
The arts of high perfumery and made-to-measure couture are deeply researched, yet intuitive disciplines; each one produces a certain kind of alchemy. Our shared raisons d’être marry innovative craftsmanship, artistry, and timeless design built into something deeply personal. A scent is worn as intimately as a gown itself; a fragrance tells its own story once worn on the skin.

Ex Nihilo on the Runway; the bride’s invisible 'something blue'

For this collaboration, we began to envision our models subtly spraying Blue Talisman’s whimsical notes of pear, vanilla, warm spices, jasmine and musk before their walk down the runway — donning our latest S/S27 collection, Salon Privé, with each ensemble taking flight in complete Rococo-inspired grandeur.

Rather than a traditional collaboration, Blue Talisman Extrait became part of our runway show itself; a nuanced layer completing each and every look. In bridal tradition, a talisman symbolizes protection, luck, and intention. Blue Talisman signifies our modern interpretation of this ritual — the bride’s invisible ‘something blue’ before her walk.

As an ode to Ex Nihilo’s fragrance, we also named one of our couture bridal gowns Talisman. With its princess ball gown crafted from embroidered, shimmery lace, detachable long-sleeve jacket atop a modern strapless corset, the dress sculpts the body with grace and layers of detail, texture and decoration.

Blue Talisman Extrait became the final jewel completing each look. Together, we created a personalized runway experience where scent became part of the collection — an invisible signature worn by each model.
