How did your husband propose? Share the story with us.
Travel has always connected my husband and me. Throughout our relationship, we have been to over 11 countries together. From paddleboarding past bears in Tahoe to rooftop sunsets in Greece, we’ve shared adventures, heartfelt memories, and built a deep mutual admiration for one another. Through these travels, we also met each other’s family and friends. It was only fitting that our next international adventure – this time to Switzerland – would be where we got engaged. We were just outside of Interlaken. Ed asked me to go on a walk alongside the sunny, crystal-clear lake; he stopped me near a beautiful view and popped the question!
It was such a special, intimate moment. We then celebrated with a romantic dinner and champagne. It was truly an out-of-body experience, but at the same time, it was such an easy and natural ‘yes.’
Can you share the story of your wedding day?
Spring has always been one of our favorite times of the year. My family is Italian, and Ed and I love the food, culture, and serenity of Italy. So for our wedding, we chose early May in one of our favorite places in the world, Tuscany! It was important to us that our wedding centered around authenticity, timelessness, family, celebration, and close friends. We wanted colors and tones that complemented the natural Tuscan rolling hillsides and greenery, but also an environment that was understated with a touch of modern elegance, which is how we chose our venue.
What was the most important factor for you when choosing your wedding gown? What made you choose this particular gown from Lee Petra Grebenau?
The most important factor for me in choosing my dress was that it felt unique and like ‘me.’ The level of detail and quality in The Harmony dress makes it incredibly obvious how much care was put into this gown.
The neckline was incredibly unique and fit perfectly in all the right places to compliment me. The quality of this dress and its design felt so different, truly another level of art and craftsmanship.
What was the most important factor for you when choosing your wedding gown? What made you choose this particular gown from Lee Petra Grebenau?
I saw that the quality of the dress was perfect — every detail fulfilled to perfection. Also, Lee herself was so professional, kind, and elegant. She made every one of our visits very special. I am for sure coming back in the future to make another special dress for our family celebrations.
Can you share a memorable moment from your wedding day?
People say that your wedding day is one of the happiest moments of your life, I thought I understood that but the amount of love, euphoria, and support the moment I walked down the aisle was something out of this world.
We had to move our ceremony inside due to rain, which ended up being even better than we could have imagined. The flowers looked like they were flowing out of the window and we also put candles at the center while the rain gently fell as the sun started streaming in. I walked down the aisle to a live custom piano version of a song that is pivotal in our relationship, *On Melancholy Hill* by the Gorillaz. This was a surprise for my husband. He had tears in his eyes and after our ceremony he said, ‘I could not believe you did that song, all of the memories just came rushing back when I heard those piano notes intro, I couldn’t hold it together’. It was such a special moment for us and brought us back to the very beginning of our love story.
